The real work begins after you have bought the domain.Now you have to link your blog to the custom domain you have bought. To do this, follow the steps
1) Login to your godaddy.com
2) Go to "My Account"
3) Then click "Launch" on the "Domains" row.
4) Then in the "Standard DNS Dashboard" below your domain click on "Edit Zone".
5) Under A(Host) add the following DNS settings :
6) Under the CNAME(Alias) besides www add your custom domain.
7) Then save your zone.
8) Go to your blogger account.
9) Go to settings and click on publishing. It will display a message like "You
are publishing on blogspot.com".
Then in the custom domain space add your custom domain and verify. Once you are done it will display something like this.
The best thing about this process is that you wouldn't lose your readers since your old blogspot address will redirect to your new custom domain.
